Germany’s Bodo Möller Chemie acquires Bengaluru-based Aqua Engineering Services

German specialty chemicals products and solutions provider Bodo Möller Chemie Group has acquired unlisted Bengaluru-based Aqua Engineering Services as part of plans to expand its footprint in the India subcontinent.
Aqua Engineering Services specializes in solutions for fluid transfer and control in water treatment and industrial adhesive chemical solutions.
Bodo Möller Chemie Group said the strategic acquisition is aligned with its Euro 200 million long-term vision to deliver innovative, sustainable, and high-performance chemical solutions across industries such as automobile electronics, manufacturing, energy, and infrastructure in India and neighbouring markets.
The acquisition cost or other terms have not been disclosed. The transaction is expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2025.
The acquisition is expected to strengthen the German company’s presence in the Indian subcontinent and expand its capabilities in a wide range of industries mainly automobile, electronics and railways.

According to an official statement, post-acquisition, Aqua Engineering’s customer relationships, product portfolio, and technical resources will be integrated into Bodo Möller Chemie’s existing Indian operations.
A seamless transition plan is in place to ensure continued service quality and business continuity.
Bodo Möller Chemie is already in India and has partnered with leading companies such as Tata, Mahindra, Bosch, HAL and others. Bodo Möller Chemie Group said all its processes comply with the current international ISO standards in the areas of quality management, occupational health and safety or environmental protection.
